The Central Bank in collaboration with Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) and Financial Sector Deepening Trust (FSD Kenya) conducts FinAccess surveys to measure and better understand financial inclusion and provide data to various stakeholders. Measurement of financial inclusion follows four dimensions, namely – access, usage, quality and impact. The surveys include:
• The FinAccess Household Surveys
• The FinAccess Geospatial Mapping Surveys
For household surveys, the sampling frame is based on the KNBS National Sampling Survey and Evaluation (NASSEP) Framework drawn from the Population and Housing Census.
