The Governor met with the children of Central Bank’s staff who sat for their KCPE and KCSE examinations in 2015 as part of the CBK@50 outreach program targeted at the youth. The aim of this initiative was to inspire the children, to nurture their talent for personal growth and to motivate them to work hard in school and other arenas in life. Earlier in May 2016, the Governor launched the Mathare Youth Empowerment Program at the Kenya School of Monetary Studies which is geared towards providing financial education and training to participants to enable them manage their resources better to create sustainable wealth.
